Embassy Holds an Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement Training Session
On August 30 - September 2, 2005, the U.S. Department of State Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) sponsored an Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) enforcement training session for the Police of the Republic of Armenia. The training was organized by Bearing Point and was conducted by Timothy Trainer, President of the Global Intellectual Property Strategy Center in Washington D.C. Twenty-three police officers from Yerevan and 5 regions of Armenia participated in the seminar.
Following the training session, Edward Schack, the INL Officer form the U.S. Embassy, awarded certificates to the participants. During his closing remarks, the Head of the IPR Unit of the Armenian Police, Volodya Boryan, emphasized that the training was very helpful and instructive.
